I would like to thank you for placing your product on A Current Affair. I had a micro current treatment for a bulging disc in my lower back some 3 years ago. The disc is bulging inside my spine, which I was referred to a Professor for surgery. Although I could not take even one step without extreme pain, I was not prepared to have surgery. My aunt had told me about Micro Current Therapy and did not believe this treatment could help me. The very next morning I was able to get out of bed with about half as much pain. As soon as my machine arrived, my partner had a treatment for long term arthritis pain. He is totally amazed at the benefit he has been able to get with just the first treatment. Helps when I am feeling anxious. Also used the probes on pain on my hand and it helped it heal. I am elderly and the hand had been painful for two weeks. After using probes a few times, my pain started to reduce.(Posted here with permission from the writer)

It is subtle, very subtle - in the sense that I often don't get a 'kick' from it so much as it is the only thing I have when my moods plunge downwards - and I don't think it is placebo(although I cannot prove it). Before using it (approx a month ago) I had to 'bully' myself out of bed - it was horrible - and many other very unpleasant effects.

LATER: It seems the Alpha-Stim is having a positive effect on my anxiety, so that I'm able to operate more effectively and when I feel down or really exhausted, I put it on (the earclips) - but not late at night! I am very pleased but keeping a low profile.

LATER: It is very subtle - I have never come across anything like this before and I don't think it is my imagination. My anxiety is still there but the Alpha-Stim appears to give relief - and the reduction in symptoms indicates it is more than placebo effect. It would be nice to have Aussie testimonials available on the web given the prevalence of stress in Australia and the fact that microcurrent electrotherapy stimulation is so often either overlooked or simply unknown. I tried the SCS after 10 years of trying different antidepressants and all the very unpleasant side effects that go with them. I was very skeptical at first because I have tried all the 'alternative' approaches to no effect, even though I know others who have found help that way. Decided I was a lost cause with nothing to lose anyway. I used it every day for the first six months, as it helped me to get through each day.

To make a long story short, I am now (after one year) on half my anti-depressants* and using the Alpha-Stim SCS every other day, and also when I am feeling anxious about something.I still suffer from stress, but the episodes are much shorter and I feel more in control of my illness.(*Pacific Medistim note - do not change the dose of your medications without your health care professional's advice) (Posted here with permission of the writer)

I was impressed by the many positive testimonials about CES plus I knew microcurrents worked for pain control as my husband had tried it successfully. I avoid pharmaceuticals as I believe long term anti-depressant use has created some chronic health problems for me. I was keen to try the Alpha-Stim but had no great expectations. After a few weeks of use I thought it was not really helping but nearing a months use I realised I had an improvement in my anxiety levels, felt more positive and my sleep patterns improved somewhat - I still wake several times a night but am usually able to fall back to sleep.

Then one night I was having a bad time with abdominal discomfort and I felt very 'liverish' which is a problem I often have at night. Using the Alpha-Stim electrodes on the abdomen reduced both the ill feeling and discomfort and I managed a few hours sleep. I now think the Alpha-Stim will be very useful in managing not only my anxiety/stress)but provide some relief for my other health problems as well.(Posted here with permission from the writer)
