The Alpha-Stim SCS comes supplied with all the necessary accessories including conducting solution and a 9 Volt battery. Extra accessories can be purchased via our online store.
How do I use it?
EASY AS ONE, TWO THREE...
The Alpha-Stim®-SCS treats stress, anxiety and insomnia with tiny electrical currents similar to those found naturally in the body. It uses a method called Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES).
How can the Alpha-Stim-SCS help?
The Alpha-Stim-SCS empowers you to control your stress, anxiety and insomnia. Used for just 20-60 minutes per day, every other day or on an as-needed basis, it can help induce a relaxed state and enable the user to focus attention on the task at hand. The Alpha-Stim-SCS leaves the mind alert. The person undergoing Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) treatment will often report a pleasant relaxed feeling of well-being.
Stress reduction can be experienced during the first treatment, but generally requires between two and six weeks of daily treatment. CES can also help manage the underlying stress associated with pain as well as manage pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia.
Maintenance of a relaxed, yet alert state is generally achieved with treatments three times per week. As a result the Alpha-Stim-SCS is suitable for clinical or home use.
How do I use it?
Basically, thoroughly wet the felt pads with AS Conducting Solution and attach the clips to your ear lobes and switch it on starting at 1 and increasing till you just feel a slight tingle. It will switch itself off automatically after 20 minutes or one hour (depending on the time you have set the timer button on).
What does it feel like?
You may feel a slight tingling sensation under the electrodes, but it is not necessary to feel this in order to achieve results. Many people feel nothing at all except positive results.
What is its power source?
A 9-volt battery (the same type as used in smoke alarms) and this should last for about 50 treatments.
Is it easy to use?
As simple as 1-2-3! Wet the pads, attach the clips to your earlobes, and switch on the device. Then, sit back and relax.
